Craiglist sexual assault: police ask victims to come forward

Police in New Westminster, B.C., have released a photograph of a man who allegedly sexually assaulted a woman who responded to Craigslist posting for a waitress/bartender position at a local bar.

Fred William Bilawey, 52, has been charged with sexual assault, but police have released his photograph in an attempt to identify other possible victims.

“We have released a photograph of the accused Bilawey because we believe that there are other victims and witnesses who have information that may further the police investigation,” said Sgt. Diana McDaniel in a statement released on Thursday.

“We encourage anyone who has been a victim of these sexual assaults or has any other information relating to these crimes to please contact Detective Constable Miszkurka at 604-529-2435 or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.”
