iHeartRadio 2014 Winners: Pharrell, Rihanna Take Home Top Honours (PHOTOS, VIDEO)

And Your iHeartRadio 2014 Winners Are...

Pharrell sure has a lot to be happy about these days.

The artist took home the innovator award at the first ever iHeartRadio Music Awards for his contribution to music Thursday night. The award show is yet another event dedicated to the biggest pop stars of the year and the biggest contributors to Los Angeles' music scene.

"I never dreamt in a million, million, million years as a producer that I would be standing here as an artist," said the 41-year-old to fans at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. "All I did was write the songs and you guys did all the heavy lifting, all the hard work."

The singer/rapper/songwriter/producer got to work with a medley of some of his biggest hits including "Come Get It Babe,” “Blurred Lines,” “Get Lucky” and “Happy” after he was praised by Oprah Winfrey, Shakira, Usher and more in a taped testimonial, Billboard reports.

But there were plenty of other artists who took home shiny, new hardware.

Rihanna won four awards, including "artist of the year", "song of the year" and "hip-hop/ R&B song of the year". Miley Cyrus' song "Wrecking Ball" won in the category for "best lyrics" but was one of many artists unable to attend, due to her recent hospitalization. Accepting the award in her place was her father, Billy Ray Cyrus.

"As a dad, I can't begin to tell you how much your thoughts, your love, your support for my family and Miley mean to all of us," said the country singer.

Performers from the show included Shakira, Ed Sheeran, Ariana Grande and Canadian rapper/Toronto Raptors lover Drake, according to Idolator.
