William Brook, School Psychologist, Charged With Child Porn Offences

Canadian School Psychologist Charged With Child Porn In U.S.

A Canadian school psychologist living in a U.S. border town is accused of downloading hundreds of child porn images, including videos of boys being raped, according to court documents.

William Brook, a U.S. citizen who works for the Delta School District in British Columbia, was stopped earlier this month trying to cross into Washington state, reported CTV News. U.S. Homeland Security had received a tip that Brook may have bought child porn online.

An affidavit filed in U.S. district court in Seattle stated that Brook was "extremely nervous" during questioning and his hands were shaking.

A subsequent search of Brook's home in Point Roberts uncovered 334 suspected child porn files on a laptop, as well as a four-gigabyte drive with more videos, said the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, citing charging papers.

CBC News reported that the images showed boys as young as six years old.

Investigators noticed that Brook’s online profile for a file-sharing program stated his “love” for “preteen/pubescent boys and young teens," reported The Province.

A spokeswoman for the Delta School District told CBC that Brook has not been at work since police told them about the charges last week. The district would not reveal what school he worked at, or what age his students were, said CTV.

Brooks is charged with possession of child pornography and remains in custody in Seattle.

Delta police are investigating Brook's activities in Canada, said The Province.
