Tatiana Maslany's SNL Debut: 'Lonely Island' Hugs Video Features 'Orphan Black' Star

WATCH: Tatiana Maslany On SNL

She has a Golden Globe nomination for playing eight clones and counting on 'Orphan Black,' but is there anything Tatiana Maslany can't do? Well, if you ask Andy Samberg's namesake character in the latest 'Lonely Island' video for their new single, 'Hugs,' she shouldn't come over for yet another warm embrace. Or, at least, not yet.

The 28-year-old made her first appearance on the 'Saturday Night Live' season finale on Saturday, whispering sweet nothings into Andy Samberg's ear, through a cell phone, in her perfectly-polished British accent.

The Regina, Sask. native played Bridget, a former paramour of the 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' star, looking for nothing more than a hug. How sweet. She's not only interrupted by Samberg, but also by Pharrell Williams, who pops by to sing the song's hook. By the end of Saturday's episode, an out-of-character Samberg even thanked Maslany for her appearance on the show, and in his pre-taped Digital Short.

The song was originally released as a single on The Lonely Island's 'Wack Album' on June 7, 2013, but did not feature Maslany's surprise video cameo.

But, this isn't Maslany's first foray into comedy. Yes, the Canadian Screen Award winner has also appeared on two episodes of 'Parks and Recreation' as a love interest for Aziz Ansari's Tom Haverford, danced with Amy Poehler at the Golden Globes, and has a strong improv background. Still, this marks a major personal milestone for the actress, who is now in talks to join Helen Mirren and Ryan Reynolds in a new dramatic feature, 'The Woman in Gold.'

"Last night, @thelonelyisland made my life," wrote Maslany, on Twitter, on Sunday.

Maslany currently stars in season two of SPACE/BBC America's hit original series, 'Orphan Black.'
