Lost It: Weight Loss Success Stories

The Plan Of Attack: I saw this six-week challenge from a boot camp program called Go Girls Boot Camps on Facebook. The gym offered a trial class so I went. I met with personal trainer Dan Go on the first day and he explained everything I needed to know about the program. That day I decided to take up this challenge.

In less than five months, I managed to lose 42.6 lbs.

The Food Element: Go Girls Boot Camps gave me a special diet to follow during the program. They helped me make educated decisions on the food I ate. I started eating the right carbs after my workouts and ate healthier overall. The gym even helped me maintain a proper time schedule for eating meals.

I actually didn't have to cut any foods from my diet to lose weight. I just ate sensibly and at the right time. Learning to manage a routine was the hardest, and I had to cut my portion sizes of everything I ate as well.

The Exercise Factor: Before joining my boot camp, I had signed up at other gyms but never got myself to go. I was very lazy and never had a target. This time around was different because I had a goal in mind to reach 150 pounds. Now that I have achieved my target, I am working on get into my best shape ever.

Currently, I attend three to four boot camp sessions a week.

The Current Day-To-Day: These days I have a lot more energy and I am able to perform my daily tasks much better. I went from a size 14 dress size to a size six. My only regret is that I didn't start earlier.

My advice? Reach out and get the help you need. Having a solid plan and a team around you to make the weight loss journey much easier. I have to thank each and every trainer for helping me with my progress, and constantly motivating me to get out there and achieve it.

If there's one thing I can say is that if I can do it, anyone can!
