From Gwyneth Paltrow's baby Apple to Drew Barrymore's daughter Olive, there are plenty of cute little baby names out there inspired by the delicious things we love to eat.

According to a recent report by America's Social Security Administration, parents in the U.S. are naming their children everything from superfood Kale to vegetable Pepper — this could be one way to get your kids to eat their veggies!

In 2013, the report found 262 newborns were named Kale (257 boys and five girls), 1,086 girls were named Olive, 152 girls were named Pepper and 27 girls were named Apple. Other unusual and more liquid-oriented names included Tea, Chai and Tamari, according to Grist.

For parents who are looking for some baby name inspiration, food names can be anything from spices to cheeses to alcoholic beverages. You can even get away with giving your child a non-food name that's still inspired by food like Jack (the cheese) or Reese (like the chocolate bar), notes BabyCenter.

Below are 41 of our favourite baby names for the modern day foodie parents. Some are cute, some are corny and others, well, let's just say your kid may have many nicknames growing up. Do you have a food-inspired name? Let us know in the comments below:
