The 25th annual MMVAs will be taking over Toronto's streets on June 15, and now we know who will be doing battle for MuchMusic's video awards.

While the distant past used to see a depressing differential between the canadian and international nominees, nowadays most Canadian pop, rock and rap stars are international, too.

Drake co-leads the pack with six nominations alongside MMVA fave Hedley. Thanks to his gone-viral "Napoleon Dynamite" parody "Everywhere We Go," SonReal comes close behind with five nominations while Arcade Fire and The Weeknd land four apiece. Other domestic multiple nominees include Sam Roberts Band, Thugli, Autoerotique, Avril Lavigne, City and Colour,

Justin Bieber, Serena Ryder and Tokyo Police Club.

Juno-winning breakthrough group A Tribe Called Red also got their first MMVA nomination while Chromeo, Classified, D-Sisive, Down With Webster, July Talk, Keys N Krates and Tegan and Sara also landed a nod.

Over on the international side, previously announced performers Lorde and Imagine Dragons got a pair, as did Miley, Selena and Katy while brand-new breakout boy band 5 Seconds of Summer got their first.

Other single nominees read like the past year's best playlist with nominations for Avicii f. Aloe Blacc, Beyoncé f. Jay Z, Disclosure f. Sam Smith, Iggy Azalea f. Charli XCX, Kanye West,

Foster the People, Kings of Leon, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Maroon 5, Mumford & Sons, One Direction and Taylor Swift ft Ed Sheeran.

Pharrell should be happy that he got a pair of nominations, one for his work with Daft Punk and one for his ubiquitous solo smash.

You'll find the full list of MMVA nominees after this behind-the-scenes slideshow of last year's MuchMusic Video Awards.
