Scott Vrooman's Sun News Interview Is Painful And Hilarious (VIDEO)

WATCH: Comedian Punks Sun News HARD

What does it take to get interviewed on Sun News Network?

In Scott Vrooman's case, it seems like all it took was a headline that indicated he was a proponent of de-funding the CBC -- despite the fact that the 813 words under it oozed of sarcasm and blatant comedy.

In December 2011, the Canadian comedian wrote a piece for iPolitics supposedly decrying the CBC's public funding, detailing how Canada doesn't need many news organizations since "Global News and Sun News provide unbiased U.S.-caliber news that’s not only profitable, but doesn't partake in impolite muckraking like the CBC."

For whatever reason, Vrooman was on the network spewing similarly hilarious and sarcastic remarks, making for quite the awkward and painful interview.

"It's an honour to be here on the platform of Canada's foremost intellectual, Ezra Levant," he says to the anchor.

"I miss you guys down here. You're a Canadian institution. You're as Canadian as frozen apple pie."

Vrooman's answer to the first question, on whether the CBC should "trim the fat" and deal with cuts, wastes no time and blasts the interview off into uncomfortable humour.

"I'm sick of all this talk of trimming and cutting," he says. "We need to abolish the CBC. I don't think systems can be changed incrementally. You either get rid of them or let them control you. It's black or white, preferably white."

In the clip above, watch things get even worse as Vrooman "compliments" Sun News on their approach to the free market and then describe how he ranks cultures from best to worst.

On his YouTube page, Vrooman says Sun News took down the interview "once it started to get attention."
