Bear Naps Atop A SaskPower Pole (PHOTOS)

Now This Is What We Call A Power Nap

Talk about a power nap!

Saskatchewan's electrical utility was alerted about a bear that had climbed to the top of one of its poles near the Town of Shellbrook on May 23, Metro News reported.

Crews arrived to find the bear making himself comfortable atop the pole and eventually falling asleep, SaskPower spokesman Tyler Hopson told the newspaper.

The sleepy bear had workers concerned about helping the animal down without hurting it or causing a power outage, but it eventually descended on its own, the utility said on Facebook.

SaskPower posted photos of the bear on Wednesday that have been since shared over 700 times.

This isn't the first time that a bear has been found in such a strange place. A black bear cub had to be tranquilized after it climbed down from an electrical pole in Lumby, B.C. last year.

The bear was eventually taken to a sanctuary in Smithers, B.C.
