ASHCROFT, B.C. - A 27-year-old man has been charged with murder in the southern interior village of Ashcroft, B.C.

Gyoba was slated to appear before a judge in Kamloops on Tuesday.

Clark says officers were called to Ashcroft at around 9:30 Monday morning and immediately began the homicide investigation after discovering the body.

Mounties aren't saying how the victim died or what may have led to the violence.
