In April, police held a news conference, in which they detailed a series of bank robbery suspects they were looking to identify.
Among them was a man who was alleged to have robbed several banks on Bloor Street West during the month of March.
Police alleged that the suspect had produced a box cutter-type knife during the robberies.
On Tuesday, police made an arrest.
John Castonguay, 46, of Toronto faces three counts of robbery and three counts of possession of a weapon. He was expected to appear in court today.
