WestJet's Father's Day Surprise Video Reminds Us About What Matters On June 15

WATCH: WestJet May Have Just Won Father's Day

WestJet may have found a video that'll make you forget all about its viral Christmas miracle stunt.

With Father's Day less than two weeks away, the Calgary-based airline once again partnered up with Ronald McDonald House to reunite one Saskatoon man with the rest of his family in Edmonton.

After his second son, Joel, was diagnosed with a congenital heart condition, Marc Grimard hasn't had many opportunities to see his youngest child. To make financial ends meet, Grimard stays home to care for his oldest son in between shifts with Saskatoon Transit.

Meanwhile his wife, Angela, and Joel have been staying at Ronald McDonald House in Edmonton where Joel, now four years old, undergoes treatment at the Stollery Children's Hospital.

"We know that when a crisis hits, a family is rocked both emotionally and financially. As such, we wanted to ensure that when we brought the Grimard family together, we did so without disrupting the family’s means of financial support," wrote Jenifer Badry, a spokeswoman for the airline in a blog.

WestJet has had a longstanding relationship with Ronald McDonald House and so the carrier offered to fly Grimard and his son Mathieu to reunite with the rest of their family. But WestJet didn't stop there. One of the airline's employees even covered Grimard's shifts while the pair were away for five days.

“I don’t have the words to say how grateful I am, just a big huge thank you and very much appreciated," said Marc in the video.

The video has reached over 9,800 views as of Wednesday afternoon. WestJet says they'll continue to offer free flights to Ronald McDonald House families for every 100,000 views the video receives, up to 500,000 views.
