CBC's Robert Fisher Criticized Over Wynne 'Lifestyle Choice' Comment On-Air

CBC Host Draws Fire For 'Lifestyle Choice' Comment

CBC host Robert Fisher raised many eyebrows Thursday night with his choice of words about re-elected Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne's sexuality. Fisher was providing political analysis during CBC's live national coverage of the Ontario election results, which saw Wynne become Ontario's first elected gay premier.

Fisher referred to Wynne's "lifestyle choice" while discussing her sexuality. Twitter was quick to take note.

UPDATE: Fisher apologized for his remarks Friday morning on CBC Radio's Metro Morning. Fisher said that he misspoke and meant no offense to the Premier.

Fisher is a broadcaster and political analyst with more than 30 years of experience.
