Lorde sure knows how to rile up a crowd.
The 17-year-old songstress performed at the 2014 MMVAs on June 15, and as expected, she totally rocked the stage. But more importantly, she did so in the most Lorde fashion ever.
But before she got up on stage, the New Zealander accepted an award from the show's hosts, Kendall and Kylie Jenner, while wearing a wide-brimmed (super teen witchy-y) hat, that only Lorde could pull off. And if you ask us, it totally rivals Pharrell's Vivienne Westwood topper.
Once she hit the stage, the singer was clad in her usual uniform dark clothing, and of course her tried and true dark purple lipstick -- likely of the MAC variety. The teen's luscious locks were left down in all their curly glory, and for the start of her set, she wore yet another wide brimmed hat (which looked quite like the one she wore for her performance at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards).
The "Royals" singer also upped the odd factor by choosing to perform on stage with a floor lamp, which, thanks to the Internet, garnered its very own Twitter account (obviously) and a hashtag (#LordeShines).
Fans were all over the performance, posting pictures and reacting with excitement on twitter.
It's always a pleasure to see Lorde on stage because we never know what she'll do next. The only thing we ask is that she just keeps doin' her thing.
