Photos of a massive chunk of ice floating near St. John's, Newfoundland posted to Reddit have captivated readers online.
While icebergs come close to shore every year, residents have reported seeing far more than normal. One expert told CTV he thinks this is due to a particularly cold winter.

Iceberg tourism is big in the province, and several companies offer boat tours to spot the thousands of bergs that dot the coastline.
Newfoundland and Labrador's tourism bureau even has an "Iceberg Finder" that tracks the last known location of all bergs near the coast.
