Your Guide To Vancouver Pride
Facebook

Vancouver Pride celebrations are coming up, and there's a lot to do! This year's Pride Week starts July 28 and climaxes with the popular Pride Parade on August 3.

To help you decide which of the many events to attend, we've rounded up some of the main attractions (see a full list here) from the Vancouver Pride Society and friends.

Pride City Proclamation: July 28

Head to Vancouver City Hall's north lawn at noon to watch the Pride flag being raised.

Mykki Blanco live show: July 30

Don't miss gender bending rapper Mykki Blanco perform live at Celebrities for FVDED Pride.

Block Party: August 1

Enjoy DJs and carnival games on Davie Street from Thurlow to Jervis. The games start at 4 p.m., but the real party kicks off at 6 p.m. (which is when the beer garden opens). It's recommended to buy your beer garden tickets in advance through the Pride Society.

Pride Ball: August 1

Celebrate Pride at this Celebrities event, featuring Hook N Sling and DJs Landon James and Marino.

Pride Parade: August 3

Undoubtedly Vancouver Pride's largest event, the parade is celebrating its 36th year. Catch all the music and costumes from noon to 3 p.m. It begins at Robson and Thurlow streets, eventually following Denman down to the beach.

Sunset Beach Festival and Market: August 3

Head to Sunset Beach from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. for live music and over 100 booths of local artisans and organizations. There's also a beer garden and a family zone.

Happy Pride, everyone!
