Toronto Maple Leafs goalie James Reimer may be looking to get out of town. Permanently.

According to Sportsnet analyst Nick Kypreos, the 26-yer-old netminder has asked Leafs management to trade him.

Nicholas Goss of NESN speculates on a possible cross-Canada move for the Reimer, who posted a mediocre .911 save percentage last season -- to the Winnipeg Jets.

"Reimer is from Manitoba," Goss reports, "and the Jets need a reliable starting goaltender because Ondrej Pavelec has been unable to play at a high level consistently and lead his team to the playoffs."

Although Reimer opened the 2013-14 season as the Leafs' starting goaltender, Jonathan Bernier eventually pushed him into the back-up role.
