Saskatchewan Flooding Photos Show Widespread Damage

LOOK: Prairie Flooding Causes Widespread Damage

After heavy rain drenched the Canadian prairies over the weekend, the widespread damage caused by floodwaters is becoming clear in Manitoba and Saskatchewan.

An intense storm system dumped between 100 and 200 millimetres of rain on southeast Saskatchewan and southwest Manitoba, resulting in overland flooding.

About 96 municipalities in the two provinces have declared states of emergency over the past few days.

And while the rain has mostly tapered off, the threat of rising water remains an issue for parts of southern Saskatchewan, including the Qu’Appelle lakes.
