Summer Doesn't Get More Canadian Than This

What's more Canadian than driving an ice resurfacing machine on the street at the beginning of July?

Grimsby, Ont. resident Peter Downs snapped a photo of the bizarre sight while he was on his way to work in St. Catharines on Wednesday, Canoe.ca reported.

The communications consultant later posted it to Twitter and it received over 1,400 retweets by Thursday.

The machine, Downs said, was far from any arena.

"I don’t know where he was going, but he was heading in the opposite direction," he told Canoe.

The picture sparked a hashtag, "#YouKnowUrInCanadaWhen," and a contest by Toronto's Breakfast Television asking people to send uniquely Canadian photos and thoughts.
