Several enthusiastic wiener dogs (and their owners) didn't let a little heat wave interfere with their bid for top honours at the Hastings Racecourse's annual races in Vancouver.

The Wiener Dog Racing Weekend — sponsored by hot dog maker Schneider's no less — had $2,500 in prizes up for grabs.

Dozens entered, but only one wiener reigned supreme, and that top dog was Roger with a come-from-behind victory, for his SECOND prestigious title.
