Leave it to Prince George to have his playdates in a castle. And no, we're not talking about a bouncy one.
According to Vanity Fair, while his great grandmother, the Queen, goes out, the future monarch has been hosting afternoon playdates with fellow babies in her home. What a rebel.
Prince George and his mom, the Duchess of Cambridge, were joined by George’s godmother, Emilia Jardine Paterson, who has a tiny toddler of her own at Windsor Castle last week.
“Kate invited Emilia and the children to go and play,” a source told the magazine's Royal Watch section. “Kate can’t take George to public playdates for fear they will get photographed. She entertains a lot at Kensington Palace, but the Queen is also happy for her family to use Windsor when she’s not in residence.”
Both Kate Middleton and Prince William want to ensure a somewhat normal upbringing for baby George, as E! notes, and takes George on several playdates at the homes of their friends. And when he has time, George also gets to visit his own family members and their babies (yes, he is a busy baby), including a meet and greet with his cousin Tia Tindall in May.
We all remember the chubby-cheeked royal's most famous playdate (so far, at least), when he was joined by other cute crawling babies during his first royal tour in New Zealand. According to CTV News, this playdate was organized to allow the little prince to formally introduce himself in a less formal setting — among toys and toddlers.
And as George, who turns one on July 22, learns how to master his walk, we can't wait to hear all about the raging kid party he decides to throw when his grandma isn't around.
