Do not approach man wanted for attempted murder, say police

The Toronto Police are warning the public not to approach a 19-year-old Toronto man wanted in an attempted murder around College and Bathurst Streets, saying he is armed and dangerous.

On Friday, July 18, Nerville Ferdinand was in a house in the Bathurst and College Street area, where he and another man got into an argument, police say.

Ferdinand produced a handgun from his bag and shot the man, who was rushed to hospital and has survived the gunshot. Ferdinand is wanted for attempted murder.

Police describe him as black, 5'7", 160 lbs., brown eyes, with a short black afro.

If Ferdinand is spotted, police say the only course of action to take is to dial 911.
