Sure, you may have just gotten comfortable with the summer heat, but before you know it, fall will have crept up on us (yet again).

So, to prepare you for the inevitable cool weather to come, we've outlined the top fall fashion trends of 2014 you'll want to be sporting come fall 2014. From cozy robe coats to western inspirations and a whole lotta glitter, there's plenty of great fashion to look forward to.

(Story continues below slideshow.)

1. Robe Coats

Fall 2014 Fashion Trends You Need Now

1. Robe Coats

This fall, take a cue from "The Dude" and strut your stuff in a luxurious robe coat. This trend, which was seen on the runways at Chloe, Richard Chai Love, and Altuzarra, is one that's both super comfy and effortlessly elegant at the same time. Plus, the robe belt cinches at the waist making it a very flattering look.

2. Oversized Everything

When the cooler weather hits, all you want to do is wrap yourself up in a cozy sweater and curl up on the couch, no? Well, now you can bring that stay-at-home cozy fashion to the streets and feel totally normal about it. Sarah Burton sent oversized frocks down the runway while the Olsen twins, of The Row, outfitted their models in extra chunky knits, proving that sometimes, bigger is definitely better.

3. Astrakhan Fur

Astrakhan is definitely a more subtle fur than most, which, in a way, makes a little more luxurious. For the upcoming season, designers like J. Mendel, Thom Browne, and Thom Ford sent models down the catwalk in gorgeous astrakhan fur ensembles that managed to look extravagant yet wearable at the same time.

4. Sneakers

It's no secret that sneakers have taken over the fashion world (hooray comfort!) and the trend is still going strong into the fall. We saw Karl Lagerfeld's sparkly interpretation at Chanel and a more minimalist version at DKNY, both of which we loved. We just hope the sneaker trend never leaves, because our feet are loving it. Our wallets on the other hand...

5. Western Inspiration

Autumn is the perfect season for hats -- and we mean felt hats, with nice, wide brims, not the toques our heads loathe once the snow hits. And what better way to style a great brimmed topper than with some Western influences? Take a cue from the models seen at Kenneth Cole, Tibi, and Cushnie et Ochs, and bring out your inner western woman.

6. Sixties Mod Style

The swingin' '60s are back with a vengeance! Grab those shift dresses, black tights and knee-high boots, and get to it! As seen on the runways at Valentino, Gucci, Saint Laurent, and DSquared, this look is fun, flirty, and colourful -- perfect for brightening up those dreary fall days.

7. Over-The-Knee Boots

Over-the-knee boots have come in and out of fashion plenty of times, and lo and behold, they're back again. We're not sure if they'll stick this time, but here's to hoping they do, because this fall's boots are awesome. Case in point: Alexander Wang's tough girl chic versions, which were definitely made for walkin'.

8. Fun Fur

What's fall without some fun fur? Ever since Miuccia sent neon striped fur stoles down the runway (back in spring 2011, no less) the fashion world has gone crazy for brightly coloured fur accents. Whether in the form of a coat, like at the Marni show, or a cute little accessory, a la Lagerfeld for Fendi, fun fur has definitely cemented its place among fashions top trends.

9. Extreme Turtlenecks

The turtleneck, beloved sweater of Steve Jobs, has been weaning its way back into fashion for a little while now (hey normcore!), but for the upcoming fall season, it's back and bigger than ever -- literally. Designers like Gareth Pugh, The Row, and Peter Pilotto sent models down the runway in ridiculously oversized turtlenecks, but in all honesty, we kind of loved them. Because with a turtleneck that big, who needs a scarf?

10. Head-To-Toe Sparkle

The fall/winter season is a great time to add some sparkle to any outfit, and for designers like Marc Jacobs, Chanel, and Dries Van Noten, that's exactly what they did. But they didn't just go for shiny accents, nope, they went for all over sparkle -- so don't be afraid to get glittery this fall. It's also a great look for the holiday season (that will sneak up on us too soon).
