Calgary police are investigating after four gun-wielding men attacked another man in a northwest community Tuesday.
According to police, a man was leaving for work from his Hidden Valley home at approximately 5:45 a.m. Tuesday, when he was approached by a man with a gun.
The man tried to force the victim back into his home, but when the victim resisted three other men, armed with guns, jumped in and began to assault him.
After a short altercation, the victim was able to break free and flee on foot.
Police say the suspects ran in the opposite direction and drove off in a light-coloured car.
All of the suspects are described a black men in their late 20s or 30s.
Police say the victim is not cooperating with the investigation and this is not believed to be a random attack.
Police say other people in the neighbourhood may have witnessed the attack and are asking anyone with information to call 403-266-1234 or contact Crime Stoppers.
