Peardonville Road sexual assault suspect's sketch released

Police in Abbotsford have released a sketch of a suspect after an 18-year-old woman was sexually assaulted earlier this month in the 31700 block of Peardonville Road.

Police say that just after 11 a.m. PT on July 14, she was working in a parking lot when the man approached her.

He began talking to her, then suddenly grabbed the teen by wrapping his arm around her.

She was able to push him away and break free.

The suspect is described as a South Asian man, between 40 and 50 years of age, around five feet seven inches with a heavy build and large belly. He has short black hair and was clean shaven.

"At the time of the assault, the suspect was wearing a red and brown collared short sleeved shirt, long pants, and black shoes," the Abbotsford Police Department said.

The department says anyone with information can call 604-859-5225 or text 222973, or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
