D'Amigo, 23, was acquired in a July 1 trade that saw the Maple Leafs re-acquire forward Matt Frattin from Columbus.
D'Amigo scored once and had three points in 22 games Toronto last season.
In 70 regular-season games with the Leafs' American Hockey League affiliate, the native of Binghamton, N.Y. had 17 goals and 29 points.
D'Amigo has posted 57 goals and 118 points in 240 AHL regular-season contests. A 2009 sixth-round draft pick of the Leafs, he has 36 points in 40 Calder Cup (AHL) playoff games on 15 goals and 21 assists.
In the 2009-10 season, the five-foot-11, 213 pound forward was named the Eastern College Athletic Conference rookie of the year after scoring 10 goals and 34 points in 35 games for Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
D'Amigo twice has represented the United States at the world junior hockey championship, winning a gold medal in 2010.
