Leonardo DiCaprio In Vancouver: Star Coming To Film 'The Revenant'

Leonardo DiCaprio is heading to Vancouver next month to film a movie.

The revered actor is set to film "The Revenant" in our fair city, reports the Georgia Straight. Shooting begins on Sept. 29 and is expected to continue until late March, according to The Vancouver Sun, with local production based at Burnaby's Mammoth Studios.

The 19th-century period film, based on the Michael Punke novel, stars DiCaprio as a fur trapper who is attacked by a bear and left for dead in the wild, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
