We all love vegetables, or pretend to do anyway, but when it comes to cooking the perfect batch, time is key.
In a new infographic by online U.K. kitchen and bedroom company Larks & Larks, the site has created a handy cheat sheet of how long you should steam, boil and roast 11 popular veggies.

For example, you should only be boiling potatoes for about 10 minutes, while roasting them takes 40 minutes. A guide like this is not only useful for home chefs, but it also gives us a good idea how much time we would need to carve out to cook a bowl of cauliflower.
And if you're wondering, aubergine is just the British way of saying eggplant.
