Good news, parents. If you haven't taken a look at your kid's university yet, Google just saved you a whole lot of gas.
Right around the time that many students are preparing to go off to school, the tech company has added some Canadian institutions to its collection of universities on Street View.
While several Canadian universities are already on Street View, three were added, the University of Calgary, Manitoba and Regina. The University of Saskatchewan will soon be added and Google hopes to add more in the future, a representative told the Toronto Star. The schools that were picked asked to be mapped, she said.
Users can also tour many U.S. schools with Street View, including Ivy League institutions like Yale and Dartmouth, as well as the University of Glasgow in Scotland, Keio and Waseda universities in Japan, and Trinity College in Dublin.
CORRECTION: A previous version of this story stated that the three universities were the first ones in Canada to be added to Google Street View. This is not the case. This version has been corrected.
