False alarm — that's not the case. But, it didn't stop actress and famed fashion star Sarah Jessica Parker from paddling on in The Hamptons on Saturday morning.
The 49-year-old Emmy winner shared a vacation snap on Instagram, which showed her looking casual in a black bra-like bathing suit and matching cover-up tank top as she steered a canary yellow kayak. She completed her cottage chic look with aviator-style sunglasses and stud earrings, as her curly locks were secured in a messy bun. But the actress best known for her role as fashionista and sex columnist Carrie Bradshaw on "Sex and the City" also didn't disappoint in the accessory department. As Parker sculled away, the sun caught her silver and chrome bracelet collection, because it wouldn't be a posh country getaway without an "arm party."
The "I Don't Know How She Does It" star paired the photo with the caption, "With me dear friends @erichughesdesign @nturnerdesign kayaking. Thanks gentlemen for starting the day with me. X sj."
Known for her flair for style, Parker may not be on vacation for long. The part-time footwear designer is set to make an appearance at Nordstrom in Houston to support her "SJP" shoe collection on Aug. 21.
Parker could also be plotting her return to the small screen. Ten years after "Sex and the City" went off the air, the actress is scheduled to star in "Busted," a crime drama involving two investigative reporters in Philadelphia. According to Deadline.com, the pilot is slated to be directed by David Frankel, whose past work includes "The Devil Wears Prada," "Marley & Me," and six episodes of "SATC."
