Fresh off hosting Osheaga, Montreal's Parc Jean-Drapeau cleared out the hipsters and made room for the headbangers as this past weekend welcomed the sixth edition of Heavy Montreal, the biggest hard rock, punk and metal festival in Canada.

Over the weekend, the festival formerly known as Heavy MTL saw ear-punishing performances by everyone from Anthrax and Bad Religion to Metallica and Offspring to Slayer and Voivod.
