LAC STE. ANNE, Alta. - Alberta game wardens have broken up a ring trafficking in wild meat and fish in central Alberta.

Seven people are accused of illegally selling big game meat and fish to undercover agents.

Officers seized 322 packages of moose and elk meat, worth about $6,500 on the black market.

They also seized $1,000 in cash and a 2013 Ford F-150 truck.

Investigators received a tip that wildlife was being illegally bought and sold in the Lac Ste. Anne, west of Edmonton.

The investigation wrapped up a month ago.
