It's no shocker that Nicki Minaj is proud of her assets. And by assets, we mean her booty which she's proudly showcased in many "Anaconda" performances to date, like on Sunday night during her opening number at the MTV VMAs.
But it would seem there are some parts of the 31-year-old's rapper's body she'd rather not display — at least in front of a crowd and millions of viewers at home. After the solo performance, Minaj joined Arianna Grande and Jessie J for live rendition of their hit "Bang Bang."
And while the performance went without a hitch, the same thing couldn't be said about Minaj's dress which couldn't zip up. In turn, it left the singer clutching the front of her ensemble in a bid to keep it all together.
Minaj was heard yelling to reporters backstage, "you all know I had a wardrobe malfunction. We ran out of time getting the dress zipped up."
The singer took to Instagram on Monday to confirm the malfunction but reassure her fans, things were fine.
"God is good. As long as a nipple didn't come out to play, I'm fine," wrote the star.
However, some skeptics aren't buying Minaj's excuse. Sources told TMZ that they had seen Minaj rehearse with the dress unzipped and manipulating to see how much would be exposed.
