EDMONTON - Police have arrested a central Alberta man on 20 sex-related charges involving boys.

RCMP say the offences began in November 2009 and involved four boys under the age of 14 in separate incidents.

Police say the man met the boys by befriending family members and there could be other victims in Alberta and British Columbia.

Sean Hudson of Thorsby, southwest of Edmonton, faces sexual assault, sexual interference, child luring and other offences.

The 26-year-old is being held in custody and is to appear in Breton provincial court Oct. 22.

RCMP say Hudson was first arrested in June of last year and was arrested again last month after Alberta's Internet Child Exploitation unit began investigating.

Sgt. Mike Lokken said the police investigation began with "one brave young man" who came forward.

"Had it not been for him getting the ball rolling, there is the potential that police would have been unaware," Lokken said.

Lokken said there's no indication, yet, there were other additional victims, but he said the accused travelled through Alberta and B.C. for both work and pleasure.

For that reason, he said other victims remain a possibility.

"If there are other victims, we're encouraging them to come forward," Lokken said.
