Calgary Machete Attack Sends Man To Hospital

Calgary police are looking for two men who attacked a man with a machete in the neighbourhood of Panorama Hills Sunday evening.

Police say a man was attacked outside his home around 8:30 p.m., in the 1700 block of Panora View NW.

The victim sustained severe slashes and cuts to his arms and legs, including one that severed an artery in his leg, and was taken to Foothills Hospital in critical condition.

He has since been upgraded to stable condition.

Police say they believe the attack was targeted.

A number of witnesses were interviewed about the attack. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
