Paco the alpaca is looking for a new home

Looking for an unusual pet and have the time to care for a rescued animal? Then Alcapaco, known simply as 'Paco', may be just what you're looking for.

The adult male alpaca came to the B.C. Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (B.C. SPCA) as a result of a cruelty investigation.

Described by his temporary carers in Langley, B.C., as a "rock star" who has shown no aggressive or unwanted behaviour, Paco is now looking for a new caretaker to adopt him.

The organization has given Paco a makeover, shearing him, sorting out his feet and having him neutered.

Paco is halter broke and is accustomed to hanging out with other animals, and would do best in a home with others horses, says the B.C. SPCA.

Alpacas are a domesticated species of South American camelid.
