How Body Odour Affects Your Love Life (VIDEO)

Could You Sniff Out Your Partner's Body Odour In A Crowd?

The scent of love is in the air... or a chemical combination of your scent, at least.

In the video above, Kevin Lieber from Vsauce2 explains the connection between smell and attraction and why some couples are attracted to each other depending on their scents.

As it turns out, people are attracted to other people's body odours (yes, your B.O.), and are more likely to be attracted to someone with a different genetic makeup. According to the video, someone's sexual orientation can also be determined by their body odour.

But to make things a lot more interesting, Lieber conducts an unscientific experiment to see if couples can really dertermine each other's scents. By making both men and women wear the same shirt for four nights without any perfume or cologne, he then asks their partners to take a sniff of three shirts and guess which one belongs to their boyfriends or girlfriends.

How many couples succeeded? Check out the video above to find out.
