Bernie's Blog: Scotland, Quebec and the 3 day countdown

Three days before the 1995 referendum on Quebec Independence thousands of Canadians flooded into Montreal.

Federalists called it a rally for Canadian unity.

Sovereignists jokingly referred to it as a last minute the love-in.

In the latest instalment of his video blog, CBC's senior political editor in Quebec, Bernard St-Laurent, talks about how the last three days affected Quebec's referendum and what this province can learn from Scotland.

St-Laurent is the host of C'est la Vie.

He has covered all the major political events in the province from the election of the Parti Québécois in 1976 on.

He shares his insight online in Bernie's Blog and on CBC television and radio.
