Don Frigo, Toronto construction exec, ID'd as man shot near Clinton, Ont.

The man killed in Clinton, Ont., on Saturday has been identified by Ontario Provincial Police as Donnato 'Don' Frigo, 70, of Caledon East.

Frigo was a vice president at Hady Construction Group in Etobicoke. He was a sports enthusiast, and trained dogs for hunting.

Frigo and a female companion — reported to be his wife but not confirmed by OPP — were in the Hullett Wildlife Conservation Area training dogs on horseback on Saturday. Investigators say an unknown male approached the couple and fired shots.

Frigo was killed. His companion was hurt but managed to escape, according to the OPP.

Clinton is about 200 kilometres west of Toronto.
