A bright meteor that lit up the night sky from Portland to Vancouver on Saturday evening was captured by one fan recording at a music festival in Victoria.
The spectacular meteor was spotted by many in the crowd during Death Cab for Cutie's set at about 8:20 p.m. PT.
The meteor was also captured by Roger Ting in West Vancouver, who had set up his GoPro on timelapse to film the Northern Lights, which were forecast to be strong over the weekend because of two solar flares on the Sun.
While Ting captured the meteor, the Northern Lights failed to appear on the west coast.
