Teen punching people in the head, fleeing in SUV, police say

A teenage suspect has allegedly been punching people in the head in the Steeles Avenue and Leslie Street area, a situation that has prompted police to issue a public safety alert.

According to Toronto police, a young man has approached and assaulted victims in the area on three occasions since last Thursday.

The suspect has fled the scene of the assaults in by getting into a waiting SUV, believed to be grey or blue in colour.

Police say the suspect is 5'9" and believed to be 15 to 18 years of age. He weighs 145 pounds, has a thin build and has been wearing dark clothing.
