Former southern Alberta teacher facing child sex charges released on bail

LETHBRIDGE, Alta. - A former southern Alberta teacher who faces sex-related charges involving boys is free on $5,000 bail.

Jamey Kristian, who is 37, is charged with sexual assault, sexual interference and possession of child pornography.

A Lethbridge judge has imposed conditions on Kristian's release.

They include 24-hour house arrest, no access to the Internet and a ban from attending any school, playground, daycare or any other place where children under 16 gather.

Kristian is to live with his parents in central Alberta and is to appear in court Sept. 26.
