Jewish Montrealers use Yiddish for new web series

Two Bialik grads are using their high school Yiddish to comic advantage in a new web series YidLife Crisis.

The first episode, "Breaking the fast," launched this week. It's set at Montreal's late-night poutine joint, La Banquise.

YidLife's creators are Jamie Elman from YTV's 'Student Bodies' and composer, actor and screenwriter Eli Batalion.

The two single guys in their 30s schmooze about women, sex, their hometown, food and religion.

Eli is now in Toronto. Jamie in LA. They talked to Jeanette Kelly for Daybreak.
