Police seek suspect in North York sexual assault

Toronto police are looking for a male suspect after a 25-year-old woman was sexually assaulted in the area of Yonge Street and Sheppard Avenue on Friday night.

The victim was walking home when a man approached her from behind and sexually assaulted her, police said. He then ran away. But as the woman continued walking, he allegedly came back and attacked her again.

Police say the suspect has a brown complexion and is likely between 20 and 25 years old.

He’s described as five feet and eleven inches tall, with a thin build and a goatee. Police say he was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt at the time of the assault.
