Emma Watson Is A Total Boss In Silk Dior At United Nations

Like. A. Boss.

Who run the world? Emma Watson!

On Saturday, "The Bling Ring" star attended the HeForShe campaign held at the United Nations in New York City, where she made an incredibly moving speech on gender equality, as part of her new role as UN Women Goodwill Ambassador.

The "Harry Potter" star stood in front of a rapt audience and talked about her experience with being called "bossy":

“When I was 8, I was confused about being called ‘bossy’ because I wanted to direct the plays that we would put on for our parents," she said. "But the boys were not. When at 14, I started to be sexualized by certain elements of the media, when at 15, my girlfriends started dropping out of their beloved sports teams, because they didn’t want to appear ‘muscle-y,’ when at 18, my males friends were unable to express their feelings, I decided that I was a feminist. And this seems uncomplicated to me. But my recent research has shown me that feminism has become an unpopular word.”

For the special (read: serious) occasion, the young Brit wore an outfit worthy of fellow UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador, Angelina Jolie: a Dior Resort grey silk coat-dress with long sleeves, an asymmetrical hemline and a silver belt. The 24-year-old kept her accessories simple with black pumps and a black-and-white clutch.

Her hair was pulled back in a simple bun and she wore natural makeup.

For the afterparty, Emma stayed true to her conservative theme with a BOSS LBD, a hint of red lipstick and black heels.

These looks were a far cry from her usual daring style but we love that she can rock modest looks with flair.
