EDMONTON - The president of the Alberta Urban Municipalities Association says there's a new attitude in the working relationship between the province and her group.

Helen Rice says she's excited about the prospect of working with Premier Jim Prentice, who will address the delegates at their annual convention this morning.

She says he seems to be trying harder, and gets the sense from him the time for talking is over and it's time to act.

She says she, the mayors of the two big cities, and the head of the Alberta Association of Municipal Districts and Counties will work with Prentice on the Municipal Government Act.

She also says cabinet ministers and MLAs are there working, which wasn't always the case.
