Booze can do bizarre things to people.

Last Friday in Norfolk, Va., a Canadian man ran across the field naked during a college football game between Old Dominion and Middle Tennessee.

Kevin Tardif, 20, of Saint-Eustache, Que., faked out about a half-dozen security people before getting tackled away from the field of play.

Tardif is not affiliated with the school, according to an Old Dominion official.

He was charged with being drunk in public and indecent exposure. Bail was set at $1,000 US.

This has a Bad News Bears feel to it — the one where the sad-sack bunch play at the Houston Astrodome.

Only, you know, minus the nudity.
