A cyclist was taken to hospital Thursday morning with non-life threatening head injuries after being struck by a vehicle on Queen Street west of Dufferin Street.

Police found the middle-aged man lying on the ground shortly before 6 a.m. and paramedics transported him to hospital.

The man had been drinking, according to police, and could not remember specific details about the incident.

The Queen street car was briefly held due to the police investigation, and riders were forced to disembark and find an alternate route.
