See? This is what happens wean you wear heels all the time.

North Korea's Kim Jong-un has been in hospital throughout September, reportedly due to fracturing both his ankles as a result of wearing his Cuban heels—high-heeled shoes for men—to public events.

Korean newspaper The Chosun Ilbo reported that Kim Jong-un had surgery at the Bonghwa Clinic, an exclusive hospital for high-ranking party members, and is still there while recovering.

The paper also reports that Kim sprained his ankles during a tour of military bases and factories, wearing said heels, and has "become noticeably overweight since he came to power."

It's been noted that Kim's father, the late Kim Jong-il, also favoured the heels, which are designed to make men appear taller.

Kim reportedly wears wears 5-cm lifts.
