Mark Donnelly's O Canada Fall Is A Lesson In Showmanship (VIDEO)

Anthem Singer's Fall Is Lesson In Showmanship

We're used to seeing hockey players take tumbles on ice, but anthem singers generally manage to stay upright.

Unfortunately, legendary Vancouver Canucks anthem singer Mark Donnelly had some trouble with the concept when he sang at a British Columbia Hockey League game in Penticton on Friday night.

Donnelly's opening was poised to be a success as he glided on skates across the ice belting out "O Canada," but things went south after he tripped over a red carpet... repeatedly.

Although it took the singer a while to get back on his skates, Donnelly is ever the true performer, and didn't miss a beat —or a note — throughout the fall.

Watch the cringe-worthy moment in the video above.
